Being a resident most of her life, Mercia has a great appreciation for the friendly people and beauty of Dodge County. She was raised on a small dairy farm outside of Lebanon. She then lived in Watertown for many years before settling in Beaver Dam in 2002. A graduate of Watertown High School, Mercia first entered the workforce helping people with special needs. She then switched gears to office administration. Over the years she has worked in the Radio, Automotive, and Petroleum Industries.
Currently Mercia works full-time doing bookkeeping and customer service and moonlights as a caregiver. In her free time Mercia enjoys running, cycling, reading fiction books, trying new recipes, and spending time with her Shih Tzu, Chauncey. Mercia is a parent to Matthew who attends UW-Whitewater. As treasurer of the Horicon Phoenix Program, Mercia is looking forward to volunteering for community projects and meeting new people.
